I can't think of anything else that might stop it. Awesome thanks so much bro! Do you have to set the timing to tdc for the cam to line up with the pump arm or anything along those lines? Quote
MrTougéTka Posted November 30, 2017 Author Report Posted November 30, 2017 Are you ment to apply great pressure to start thr bolts? Quote
rebuilder86 Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 the cam may be in the middle of the pumping position forcing itself up i to the pump arm but so long as u have done what altezza said, just tighten it up anyway. Quote
rebuilder86 Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 perhaps try turning the crankshaft 180 degrees and try again. Quote

MrTougéTka Posted November 30, 2017 Author Report Posted November 30, 2017 Made it harder to get in? Wtf Quote
rebuilder86 Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 haha. then that means the cam lobe is pointing at the pump so move it another 180. each of these 180 turns will turn the lobe 90 degrees. so soon enough it will make room. ir ia designes to constanty apply pressure on the arm, so yes u will be tightening bolts against the tension on the arm Quote
MrTougéTka Posted November 30, 2017 Author Report Posted November 30, 2017 Pump is in, cheers fellas! Need to buy a new outlet fitting tho, because its not the same size as the original ugh Quote

I hadn't replaced it, I only removed the original and put a new gasket on there. Its definitely a vacuum leak/fuel problem. Carb and intake/exhaust manny weren't even finger tightened down! Explains the bloody massive leak! Quote
rebuilder86 Posted December 1, 2017 Report Posted December 1, 2017 so is it perfect yet? or is it still missing a bit? Quote

Well I need a new fitting for the outlet of the fuel pump as the one that came in the kit was smaller than the housing its ment to thread into. So after I get that fixed it should be mint, fingers crossed Quote
