Max666 Posted July 15, 2017 Report Posted July 15, 2017 Hi All id like to hear anyone's thoughts on a 4Y transplant in a ke70. Has anyone done it, mainly as a civil daily driver. Any input greatly appreciated. cheers Max666 Quote
altezzaclub Posted July 15, 2017 Report Posted July 15, 2017 No reason why not- Rob on here had one in his Dyna, went OK but pretty industrial. Peak power is at 4400rpm, which tells you what its designed for.. Plenty of torque though. They were used in the early Great Walls, so you can buy things like new rubber spark plug tube O-rings for the 4K from a Great Wall agent. You'd need a 3.7 or a 3.9 diff! Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted July 16, 2017 Report Posted July 16, 2017 Not worth it for 70 kw and 180nm. Quote
ke70dave Posted July 16, 2017 Report Posted July 16, 2017 Nope, no thanks. too much effort for very little gain. Just think, its the same amount of effort to put an sr20de as a 4y. Just the initial cost of the sr20de and rwd box is a bit more. And i know which one id rather have long term, or short term, or like....any term. 1 Quote
