well

as the topic says, the plug in my borg-warner diff won't undo ... it just spins and spins and spins and spins, and spins some more. In either direction ... so at the moment the plug is half-tight, constantly. Which means it leaks slowly, and makes it hard if i wanna put any oil into it (running a bit low i think) ...

What the hell? Is this common? Tried searchin but didn't find shizzle...

no idea if it is common.

my old EH holden had no filler plug on the diff. you had to jack up the diff on one side, pop an axle, and pour the oil in that way.

My B/W Diff has a filler plug in the top and a drain plug on the side under the axle housing.

You could try heating up the plg to get it out....

It sounds as if you have stripped the threads on the plug or the threads in the housing. A replacement plate would be easiest as opposed to re-cutting the threads and getting a bigger plug to suit.
