Raven Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Besides a KE55 diff (which i have), how do the swaybars mount to the body/chassis? Quote
Trent-KE30 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 From my understanding there is just a bracket with a bolt and nut going through it or something of a similiar nature -Trent Quote
Raven Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 Hmmm, I guess i need to go bracket hunting! Self-serve wrecker next week me thinks :lmao: Quote
coln72 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Club car used "all thread" through the floor with a couple of rubber bushes. Quote
Raven Posted April 28, 2006 Author Report Posted April 28, 2006 Can anyone supply me pictures of what I'm supposed to use? Quote
coln72 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 don't think KE55 mounts line up with the holes in the KE3x rear subframe. Had to weld them on to the subframe when I fitted a KE55 diff into my old KE35. Quote
Raven Posted April 28, 2006 Author Report Posted April 28, 2006 (edited) Welding is good, I can cope with that. Would be good if i knew what these parts look like.... but I guess a trip to the wreckers to find a KE55E will solve that issue. Did it handle much better after you welded on the mounts and bolted the diff in? Edited April 28, 2006 by AE35 Quote
coln72 Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 good on fast sweepers, crap on tight roundabouts. Would lift the inside wheel off the deck to easy. Quote
st.nick Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 I was advised against fitting sway bars... especially to the rear!! For that exact reason; lifting wheels off the deck. A fully sorted, swaybar-less rear end would be alot better IMHO... Swaybar for the front should be the last mod on the list too (even lower in priority than Konis and adjustable tops apparently). I'm only going on advice from someone who is quite a bit of a suspension guru. Quote
coln72 Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 Agree St Nick. Club car has gone back to standard front bar and no rear bar. Quote
