ae80boy Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 i was wondering if the engine mounts in the ae80 are the same as those found in the ae82 twin cam...? iv just bought an ae80 with a 1.3 sohc carby and want to dump a 4agze in it. i kno i could of started with the ae82 but this car has 60,000 klms on the clock and its in supreme condition. Trev Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 I was thinkin what nick was thinkin but i used 1.6L 4a-c engine mounts on my gze conversion. is there a size difference (as in strength) between the 1.3 and 1.6 mounts? Quote

ae80jeff Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 ive got a ae80 with 2A auto and i want a 4A manual. is everything the same body wise ie mounts and holes for different bits like clutch cylinder etc? is the gear linkage the same in an manual as it is in the manual? what other things should i consider for this conversion? :D :hmm: :jealous: Quote
