sammyeags Posted November 2, 2015 Report Posted November 2, 2015 Brought a ke30 with a 5k. its got single webbers carb and extractors + Exhaust system. other then that i assume its stock just wondering what rpm i could safely run it to. 5500,6000? cheers :) Quote
GJM85 Posted November 2, 2015 Report Posted November 2, 2015 Yeah around there is safe. Peak power is probably around 4800rpm though. Quote
Mechanical Sympathy Posted November 2, 2015 Report Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) Give it a go - if it's got anything above 4800 you'll know it's not a stock 5K ! Edited November 2, 2015 by Mechanical Sympathy Quote
styler Posted November 2, 2015 Report Posted November 2, 2015 The factory pushrod valvetrain is known to be quite a good rev limiter by floating apart at high rpm or you could always rely on the factory dizzy points to bounce around... Not good for the motor and upgrading can see you get up 8000rpm using lots of modifications, but as power/rpm increases the size of the powerband size decreases... Quote
sammyeags Posted November 12, 2015 Author Report Posted November 12, 2015 i just gave it a go and went to about 5500, sounds sweet as! cheers Quote
