JasonKE55 Posted October 27, 2015 Report Posted October 27, 2015 Hi Fellas, I've been trying to figure out which radiator will fit in my KE55 with Sr20de. Measurements for s13 radiator if i set it hard up against the front would be too high for bonnet to close. Are there any alternatives with correct inlet/outlet orientation that will fit or should i try and fit the s13 radiator further back off the rail and put thermos on front?? What have you guys done. Cheers Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted October 27, 2015 Report Posted October 27, 2015 If it's a stock motor the copper core standard ke radiator would probably do the job. Ke70 guys use Excel radiators, not sure if they'd fit in a ke3/5* though. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted October 28, 2015 Report Posted October 28, 2015 I suppose it depends on where your inlets and outlets need to be though. If the stock rad outlets will work you can get 3 core aluminum rads off eBay to suit. Quote
JasonKE55 Posted October 28, 2015 Author Report Posted October 28, 2015 Inlet should be on left looking at from drivers seat. Outlet on right. Do u know the standard ke55 radiator outside dimensions?? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted October 28, 2015 Report Posted October 28, 2015 Check out this thread, see what Matt put in his. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/16608-matts-ke30sr20det/ Quote
parrot Posted October 28, 2015 Report Posted October 28, 2015 I've got a repco radiator catalogue that says a KE3x, KE5x radiator is twin core, 467mm wide. The core is 300mm high plus you would need to add about 50mm each for the top and bottom header tanks. Quote
JasonKE55 Posted October 28, 2015 Author Report Posted October 28, 2015 Cheers parrot. I just found a Datsun 1600 radiator that should fit. Ports are on right sides too Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted October 28, 2015 Report Posted October 28, 2015 I did this to my ke25 to make an s13 radiator fit further forward, would probably work on a ke30. It really depends how you feel about cutting the rad support panel, the datto radiator is probably more of a factory fit. Quote
JasonKE55 Posted October 30, 2015 Author Report Posted October 30, 2015 That looks great, what about the radiator cap, does it clear the bonnet?? Quote
