tmac101 Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 (edited) hey guys and gals hows it going well lets start with yesterday, went down to my car to check the transmission oil and well one thing lead to another and now my engine is out because one of the pistons had a broken skirt which was floating at the bottom of the sump and there was medium sized meatal shavings in there also not to mention that one off the big ends was loose. but while this may sound all very bad the engine was running pretty good, and it was dads idea to take it out to try and find the grinding noise. All four pistons are in really good condition except the one with one skirt missing and even the sleeves in the block are very good. the reason why I'm putting this up is because dad has ideas off gettin and import motor from brisbane imports on the coast. gotta love gulible mums. but neways was just wondering if any one has had any thing to do with brisbane imports cause were looking to buy a half cut. so if any one has some feed back about brisbane imports it would be great thanks folks :D Edited April 18, 2006 by tmac101 Quote

Trev Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Dude why don't you just go to Brisbane Motor Imports at rocklea. Brisbane Motor Imports Pty Ltd 53 Andrew St Rocklea 4106 (07) 3274 6611 Quote
love ke70 Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 for fear of getting in trouble i hesitantly post this, but my question is why a 20valve? and also, just ring around all importers get some quotes and the condition of the engines. I'm assuming your doing a conversion? not just a replacement? don't go into this half arsed, get it all planned properly before signing your life away :D Quote
