Obscure post of the month

If you have bought a 3 Gauge TE27 centre cluster to retrofit into your KE2x and need the plug, it is identical to that found in the dash wiring of a 1975 MS85 Crown.

I realise MS85's don't exactly grow on trees, but neither do TE27's

I figured I'd just be able to buy a new generic plug when the time came to fit it all up.......??

Fraid not. If you look at the speedo/tacho cluster round wiring plug, it is a smaller 6 pin version of that.

I'm sure you will work something out. You can cannabalise the terminals from a KE2x dash cluster, or find a modern terminal equivalent. But the plug isn't something you can get off the shelf.

Hey parrot,

Any new alternatives to this scenario for the centre gauges? Any other cars with similar plug? Something from jaycar?

Just picked up a te27 cluster, tacho section working, was also wondering why the hazard toggle also has two click options when you twist it...?

ah well this is where making bits off different cars fit where they were never intended sometimes pays off.

find a mitsubishi l300 van. pull the cluster. There's your plugs. easy to find

I had the same problem but wired up every thing with these wires bullets. It worked fine till eventually i found a plug but still worked with them. If them do not fit exactly just press them a little get them more "roundly"
