ausca62 Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Will a T40 bellhousing bolt onto a T50 box? Quote
ausca62 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Report Posted June 26, 2015 Same?? as in what respect. The T50 is from a 2t engine and the t40 is from a 4A Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 They have different output spline counts from memory. EDIT: but pretty sure the bells should swap over Quote
ausca62 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Report Posted June 26, 2015 (edited) Cheers mate, I have a spare T50 for my ke20 but I'm building a ke70 for my wife and have a 4ag to replace the 4k but need to change the bellhousing to fit. Edited June 26, 2015 by ausca62 Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 If you have a T50 to fit a KE20 drive shaft it may work in your favour. Quote
tojo2 Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Your 4a t40 will be a 22 spline vertion with large input bearing 2t t50 could be either a 20 or 22 spline (outputshaft) depending on age. Change was sometime in 82` If its a 22 spline, 4a bell will fit. Ke20/ke70 driveshaft wont. If its a 20 spline , ke20ke70 driveshaft will fit but input bearing will need a spacer ring to suit the bell. 4a bell isnt perfect for a 4age but many use it. Look at heatsheilding clutch slave cylinder Quote
ausca62 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Report Posted June 26, 2015 Thanks tojo2 Maybe we should pin this somewhere, Cheers. Quote
