ms85er Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) Random question to another ms85 crown owner: what does the diaphragmatic valve thing sitting in the right hand side of the engine bay- about middle of the wheel arch and inside the frame hole, its where if you put your hand in you can touch the outter passenger guard?. It could be something to do with the carbed 4m but i don't know, i cannot figure out what its there for, mine was never hooked up when I got the car. Awesome build btw Edited December 6, 2015 by ms85er Quote
greenmac80 Posted December 8, 2015 Author Report Posted December 8, 2015 that is a vacuum canister. its for your heater controls. Quote
greenmac80 Posted January 15, 2016 Author Report Posted January 15, 2016 long time no update. A fair bit has been done. but mostly stuff your wouldnt know. wiring, bolt replacements. bracket fabrications etc. anyway a few pics got the b&m cable all sorted so the trans now has shifting action. radiator modded. new outlets. and two sensor ports added power steering lines to the left done. power steering cooler mount changed a bit and remounted front end back together. all new stainless bolts. new windscreen arrived. although its a weird fit to the car. unsure if it can be used. sent the diff off to be put together. goen from 4.1 open. to a 3.9 LSD new bearings and seals throughout Quote
greenmac80 Posted January 15, 2016 Author Report Posted January 15, 2016 bit more of a fun post. Scored a heap of audio gear for a good price. and later in the year... i have this badboy coming at me. thats all for now Quote
greenmac80 Posted January 17, 2016 Author Report Posted January 17, 2016 well it drives!! took it for a spin last night. the LSD is rediculously tight. like a locker. having an issue with it not selecting first.. we think it's a adjustment issue with the b&m shifter. when it does select first holy hell does it go. great fun. greenmac80 Posted January 28, 2016 Author Report Posted January 28, 2016 dash back together. check engine light in the bottom right corner. Park brake switch works. Brake fluid warning light is being a pain. its wired right but the switch itself in the MC is backwards to the original crown one. Oil pressure light is wired but not connected to the motor just now. new tails.. been sent off for heavy mods. will update as they happen. new roof lining should be in by end of weekend then i can finish off the interior. but its mostly done. Took it for a strap last night.. was a little wet, the car was basically on ice skates. good fun. Quote
