PopcornChicken Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 Hi guys, I have just bought an 83' KE70 Corolla, I am planning to make a sleeper out of it, after reading a lot of forums on the mods for the suspension, diff, breaks and engines, I've decided to built one on the SR20DET engine from S13. :) I just wanna confirm with u all here the parts needed for all the upgrades. Engine, -SR20DET from Nissan S13 halfcut. -SR20 conversion kit for KE70. Transmission, -Nissan S13's transmission, mounted onto KE70 with the conversion kit. Suspension(front), -Aftermarket coilovers for AE86, AE86 steering arm and AE86 wheel hub Suspension(Rear) -Aftermarket coilovers for AE86 Front Brakes, -Aftermarket wilwood big breaks for AE86 Rear diffs and brakes, -Volvo 240 rear diffs and brakes from Volvo 240 halfcut. Brake master cylinder, Toyota Landcruiser's That's all on my mind now, anything else do I need to include? and is my mod realistic? Furthermore, which year toyota landcruiser should I get that is bolt on for KE70? Lastly, Any better rear diffs and disc brakes suggestions? :) I'm new btw, pls do school me. Thanks, Darren Quote
altezzaclub Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 Have you done this sort of conversion before? Just wondering at what sort of level you're looking for advice... The list looks OK, but its no small job. Quote
Mcleod Posted July 29, 2015 Report Posted July 29, 2015 Definitely not a small job, would certainly help if you've done this sort of thing before and/or had help from a mate who can guide you through it or at least give you a hand... Quote
andyg Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 Sounds like a good project, I'm not familiar with conversions but it looks like you have a lot ahead of you! Quote
ke70dave Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) Sr20det into a ke70 is certainly not a ground breaking excercise, would be alot of fun. There are many ways to skin a cat, as they say. Where are you located? Why so much Volvo stuff? I'd be going for an r31 rear diff as that has discs already and will take an aftermarket kaaz diff. The difficulty, time and money is in the details. Note: nothing bolts in, everything is custom. Edited October 14, 2015 by ke70dave Quote
