styler Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 I have seen a few pics and I know its tight on most ke corollas but not sure exactly of what carb type or manifold is one each one though... Just wanted to know what people think of the clearances regarding the twin carb setup, would be 2 weber dcoe 40's on the redline manifold and what that clearance would be to the strut tower. Then trumpets, air filters and gap can be thought of. Not sure if you can tilt the engine a bit over with a thin 5mm spacer plate under the engine mount for extra room without going the full trd upright kit and its list of additional mods. Quote
TRD ke70 Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Depends on the size of the air cleans and ram tubes you are going to use. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 You can kick the engine over a little bit, I have 9mm of shims under the passenger side mount as my waste gate its really close to the chassis rail. You can't go much more than that before you run out of thread on the stud. Remember it will also kick the shifter over towards you. Quote
Feral4K Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Ours has been shimmed by about 6mm on ps engine mount, we run redline manifold, soft mounts and 45mm ramtubes, i simply milled 10mm off number three trumpet for tower clearance... Quote
