rolla70 Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 (edited) hey guys i recently purchased a so called ready to bolt on 32 36 weber and now i have got it on and idling but it wont rev, we got it to rev but had to have the choke fully one and once there is no choke engine just stalls out so i have narrowed it down to either a) carby is to big for engine? b) carby needs a kit? also i have cam and slight head work, can anyone help me out or anyone else had this problem aswell ok been looking around and yeah on my one i only plug the fuel in and thats it there is no other hoses or fittings but on some of the other ones i have looked at there are like 3 hoses i'm really confused Edited April 14, 2006 by rolla70 Quote

Raven Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 Check your gaskets and rubber hoses. Manifolds leaks drop the vacuum and it wont idle. Failing that, adjust your fuel mixture screw and see if that does any good. BUT To me it sounds like the problem i had with my mates KE38 wagon. I accidentally left a hose off and it had me stumped for about 2 mins wondering why the bastard would only idle with the choke out to max. Ended up being a hose off to the carby and i was losing manifold pressure via the leak. Plugged the sucker back in and it was sweet as! Quote
