megamannz123 Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Hi all, I'm about to cut and weld to sets of LCA's for my ke30 to get some negative camber, at present it's at zero degrees with factory length LCA's. The car is lowered 2.5 inches which has brought it from +1 to zero. I was thinking about 1.5 negative camber would be a good target and thought about 15mm longer than standard might be a good guess? Anyone done this before or have ideas about the length to add? Cheers Quote

lexsmaz Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Get some camber top plates, as welded bottom arms wont be Road Worthy .. Quote

Camber top plates won't work due to spring diameter, no room to move. On 3/11/2015 at 9:36 AM, Taz_Rx said: ....or jump on the t3 website again! Yeah that would work if I could afford it!! Quote

Jono.C Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Ke20 Lca's. They're 10-15mm longer than ke30. Quote
megamannz123 Posted April 18, 2015 Author Report Posted April 18, 2015 Job done, added 15mm to the LCA's and ended up with -1.05 and -1.03 camber. Perfect! Quote
lexsmaz Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) Looks like you have done a nice job, but as you have ground the welds flat on the outside i hope you have put plates up inside against the welded in section as grinding off the welds on the outside so it all looks nice & smooth is not a real good idea as it takes a lot of the strength away from the welds, I can see you have a plate on the very bottom which is good but also as mentioned it should be plated inside or on top too ..
