dannyr53 Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Hello RollaClub! I'm Danny from Southern California, I've been lurking around the site for the past few months now and finally decided to join. I have a 1979 KE30 coupe, that I purchased November of last year. So far its been a blast to drive and have been slowly getting it together since. I'm hoping with the help of RollaClub and a little elbow grease I can accomplish better performance and make it look more appealing. ;) Quote
Mechanical Sympathy Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Hi Danny, nice looking car. I think you've got a TE31 there! We didn't get those here. Quote
dannyr53 Posted March 11, 2015 Author Report Posted March 11, 2015 oops! it is a te31 i thought it would also be called ke30, see already learning. :rocknroll: Quote
Skellington Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 Nice car. The TE31 is an awesome model. Check my build logs from my 76. I did a bunch of stuff to that car. It had the same wheels too. I also have a TE38 wagon that I just got. I am in California too. Quote
dannyr53 Posted March 16, 2015 Author Report Posted March 16, 2015 Hey Ryan, nice work on the your te31. I'm looking into doing suspension work soon. As for now I've been cleaning up stereo wiring and the interior. Would you guys happen to know if the King springs would fit? Quote
Skellington Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 What king springs? link them so we know what you are talking about. If you are talking about front suspension, techno toy tuning has great stuff. Or you can piece it together yourself like I do. Quote

dannyr53 Posted March 19, 2015 Author Report Posted March 19, 2015 they're on ebay. hope the link works. I was thinking of using Techno Toys coil over kit, but I'm a little weary of welding it myself and it's a little hard finding a local shop to do it. I'd like to keep it as simple as possible. I plan on slapping a staggered set of wheels preferably 15x9 rear and 15x8 front. Quote
Mechanical Sympathy Posted March 19, 2015 Report Posted March 19, 2015 They would certainly do the job if you don't mind paying the shipping. Quote
Skellington Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) Those springs are perfect. They fit in stock locations, so little or no modifying needed. you could use a slightly shorter stroke shock with a spacer to keep a nice ride too (perhaps SW20 rears depending on drop). As long as you didn't want to put very wide wheels in here, These will be good. Edited March 25, 2015 by Skellington Quote
