B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) New thread. Car looks like this now. So I put an AE93 speedo into my KE70 cluster for the speed sensor mainly to get rid of the CEL. Turns out when I drilled into it to mount it I drilled through the speed sensor connection. D'oh. Fixed, improved and re-installed. The clock has been replaced with a voltmeter and the charge light is no my CEL. I removed the trip meter mechanism to fit the speedo but I think I could make it fit. If I can find another cheap 93 cluster Ill do it at a later stage along with a new perspex screen. Next plan is to install the 9000rpm tacho. Edited December 30, 2014 by B.L.Z.BUB Quote
batmo Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 You have a cluster? I am jealous as I don't What's the intended purpose of this car? Looks to have some fruit on it by the stance 😌 Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 30, 2014 Author Report Posted December 30, 2014 It's my daily. 4agze with some bolt on bits. Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 Nice work Reed, 9000rpm, does it rev that hard!?! Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 30, 2014 Author Report Posted December 30, 2014 It'll rev over 8. It's from a smallport engined ae93 so you'd assume the GZE would make it up there too. There's a little adjustable spring for tension on the needle, I must have knocked it because now I'm reading 10kph out. That'll be a cnut to sort. Though I may be able to pull the front half of the dash off and adjust it on the fly. I also want to get another fish tank thermostat and use it as a high temp wanring light. I could probably do all these things with a new ecu :P I like fiddling though. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 2, 2015 Author Report Posted January 2, 2015 Installed the tacho today. Circuit boards were pretty much identical. Circuit boards were labelled so it made the wiring easier Different heights so needed to space it out a bit. Wiring all sorted, plus piggy backed the voltmeter off this wiring so its not hanging out the back of the cluster. Getting there A bit of foam so its all sealed properly. Done. Video of it working. B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 4, 2015 Author Report Posted January 4, 2015 I have been offered an EMS dual sport ECU as trade for my T50 setup when I do my W55 conversion (which I need to pull finger and do). I was gonna sell all the T50 stuff and use the cash to fund getting the LSD installed in my diff but this could be a better option. Credit card could always get a workout for the LSD. Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Thats awesome dude, well done. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 12, 2015 Author Report Posted January 12, 2015 Went and helped a fellow E7 owner fix his charging and starting issue then swung past the Downshift meet. The Diff isn't sounding great, I'm surprised the S series has lasted so well. I really need to pull finger and sort out the box and Diff. Quote
Stenzel Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 Man this has changed so much since i last saw it. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 15, 2015 Author Report Posted January 15, 2015 Finally pulled all the bits out and test fitted it all together. Ogliptech bell, W55, CUBE short shifter, ceramic clutch Will get a new throwout bearing pressed on tomorrow then whack it all in on Saturday after a good degrease. The T50 and al the components with it being sold will fund getting the KAAZ 2 way installed in the zenki center. Quote
ollienewc Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Oooh yes, I like where this is going. That shifter looks real nice too :y: Quote
snot35 Posted January 16, 2015 Report Posted January 16, 2015 Love your work, I reckon I might have to try the same and nick the dash out of my donor twinky once the engine goes in. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 16, 2015 Author Report Posted January 16, 2015 T50 out, W55 in after work tomorrow. Quote
