jimsKE10 Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Hi all was just looking at personalised plates for colours and they are charging through the ass for it. Is there anything stopping me from just taping them up and spraying them myself? I'm guessing it's probably illegal but not 100% sure Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 I really hope you are trolling! Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) Might help if you say where you are from... Still, stupid and almost 100% definitely highly illegal. If you're in NSW then technically you don't even own the plates (except for certain personalised styles), you're essentially renting them from the RTA/RMS and you wouldn't re-spray a rental car would you? jimsKE10 Posted November 13, 2014 Author Report Posted November 13, 2014 Yeah good point, I'm from brissy and the only thing I was looking to spray would be the maroon trim, numbers and letters to black. Guess I won't do it though haha Quote
BUZ440 Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 You will find the colors are designed for both reflective and identification for TCO and ANPR purposes, PPQ can mix up any color you want but will have to pay for it, unless you own an exotic, why are you trying to color match of all the colors and styles out there Quote
jimsKE10 Posted November 13, 2014 Author Report Posted November 13, 2014 I just wanted a black and white number plate but the ones I looked at were pretty pricey. So was just seeing if there was a cheap and legal way of doing it haha guess not though :( Quote
