Jono.C Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 Hey all, Thought i'd post up a new ke10 i picked up a couple of months ago. Wasn't cheap, but no ke10's are.. At-least it doesn't need much work! Body's pretty much perfect just needs a 4age swap really! Thoughts? Needs a good polish though i'll admit.. Quote
altezzaclub Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 Not bad... a contender for the world's first convertible KE10?? That would save chasing glass... Quote

Would be a shame to waste such a good roof though? Haven't seen a ke10 in this good condition before.. I would dare say oldest ke10 on here. Vin 32XXX ! Quote
altezzaclub Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 OMG! They make such a cute convertible! Quote
Jono.C Posted July 6, 2014 Author Report Posted July 6, 2014 (edited) I think the convertible i made is better... See below Cut the front off for a worked Clevo bruv and tube frame Then had to make room for the roll cage The moment of realisation when i'd cut a car completely in half while standing on it.. Weight reduction started Needed to put the 9" race diff in so flipped it for easy access Decided roof'd cars are just gay so i made a convertible, and chopped the leaves to lower it Car was pretty much built and race ready! Just had to give it a quick shake down to check all the mods were up to scratch Loaded it up on the towrig ready to go to the track! Might sell this car to anyone interested.. $20000 no offers. It's a serious race machine as you can see.. Edited July 6, 2014 by Jono.C Quote
Jono.C Posted July 6, 2014 Author Report Posted July 6, 2014 Basically this was free.. Jumped it, Rolled it, Crashed it, Killed it, Stripped it.. It was maggoted before i got it, in the condition you see it.. Deadly rust errywhere.. Stripped some good parts off it and now it was just in the way so.. Decided to cut it up and chuck it out. Got a lot of decent parts off it for my car but most of the car was ratchet.. If you need any ke1x stuff lemme know i'll see if i can help you out.. But the rear is already pancaked Quote
Jono.C Posted July 7, 2014 Author Report Posted July 7, 2014 If anyone needs anything out of this, let me know as will be scrapped as soon as we can Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted July 7, 2014 Report Posted July 7, 2014 Looks like you had fun! :) I need one of the top door hing spacer plates if you kept them... if not I'll stick to my plan of using washers. Quote
Jono.C Posted July 7, 2014 Author Report Posted July 7, 2014 (edited) For the bootlid you mean Ken? There were no washers/ spacers at all for the door hinges Edited July 7, 2014 by Jono.C Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted July 7, 2014 Report Posted July 7, 2014 Very interesting. Mine had spacers and needs spacers to line the doors up with the quarter panels, but I lost one somewhere along the line. No biggie, washers will do the trick. Quote
Jono.C Posted July 7, 2014 Author Report Posted July 7, 2014 Found 2 final photo's from a while ago when it was first bought Car had some goodies, Had Monroe shocks in it, Drop shackles and if you look close an aftermarket rear swaybar kit! Not bad for a free car Really was sad cutting it up and scrapping it and feel a bit bad about it but it was way past gone.. The parts off this will help both my Ke10 and my brothers Ke15 sprinter get finished. I'll update that thread when it's out of hibernation! Quote
