I've never done it but I can't see why anything would change.

You have-

Starter main 12V cable- use eitherstarter

Solenoid activator lead-same for solenoid

Oil pressure switch- use the same one if you like

Water temp gauge lead- same as oil pressure switch

Alty wiring- and you can use the same alty.

Dizzy wire from coil- both the same.

and that's about it.

The 4K carby might have a fuel cutoff solenoid on it that you will have to run a 12V ignition wire to.

Hi Jack,

Yes altezzaclub is spot on. Only real difference between looms could be what type of alternator was originally fitted to your KE30. If it originally had a Denso unit with external regulator box on the drivers side inner guard, then there will be a few extra wires between alternator & regulator. You can fit a Bosch alternator with internal regulator, but you will then need to remove regulator box & bridge two wires together, so the alternator warning light on your dash works. There is a post here somewhere on this forum, about which two wires to join.

Or just put the 3k alternator on the 4k.

You'll also need to use the 3k water temp sender or your guage won't read correctly. The water pump and thermostat housing inlet and outlets might also be different but you could just swap the 3k ones onto the 4k as well.
