Mick E Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 is the 7k suitable for club autocross and khanacross. if so how much work is needed on them, can somebody give any ideas on how to go about it. run a ke-20 with 5k at the moment need a bit cubs but like to stay with k series. hope somebody can help thanks cheers mick Quote
Crostek Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 Some of the people on the forum already run these motors in club cars ( gavclassic) and have better idea on performance gains The 7k motor block is a bit wider then the 5k you have and you will need to change / modifiy your engine mounts do some searching on people's builds and see what they have done Quote
altezzaclub Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 Its probably the best use for them as you can use the torque rather than revving them out on a race track.. The long stroke means they won't rev as high as a smaller over-square K, so keep that in mind when picking a cam. Same with carbs, get smaller rather than a bigger option to maximise the airflow velocity. Gav knows what he's talking about, PM him. Quote
