Geoff Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 Gday again I am at a loss again, this time its the clutch. It is actuating about 2 inches from the floor it feels way to low. It has been doing this since I bought it. I replaced the slave cylinder the old one had worn on an angle and piston was snagging every so often leaving me with no clutch at all. I pulled the master cylinder gave it a hone cleaned it up and put it back in. It is still to close to the floor. I have set the adjustments as per the manual and I am still at a loss. Please help me. Geoff Posted March 30, 2006 Author Report Posted March 30, 2006 You didn't make me sound stupid It has been bled. It is a 88 ae82 single cam (4m I think) Quote
Trev Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 ok, just that when i got my twinky it was really spongy and it didnt feel like it was there so i gave it a good pump up and got the missus to help me bleed it works good now Quote
zmit Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 i've got the same problem as well, i bled it but havent replaced any cylinders (sounds like u just save me a lot of trouble if it doesnt make any difference) a few people think that its a new clutch as i havent had it for that long and I'm not sure whether the clutch has been replaced recently. thats a possibility, but if it clearly isnt, then post it up :y: id like to know as well Quote
Geoff Posted April 3, 2006 Author Report Posted April 3, 2006 I have adjusted the pushrod and removed more of the freeplay and this has fixed it. Quote
love ke70 Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 yeah, uve done it now, but its what i would have said. the manual tells you how to set it up, but just play with this until you get it how you want it :P Quote
