breto Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 So I'm new here and just thought I would share my ride. Quote
OKE055 Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 Interior looks super clean a rare find in a car that old Quote
breto Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 So got busy today and straightened out the rear end. As per photos in previous post the rear bumper had taken a bit of a hit. So pulled it all down and fixed it today. No bog yet, that is just primer for now but it came up straight as. Even straightened the bumper and treated the inside of it with converter and mat black kill rust. Quote
breto Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 Oh almost forgot, test fitted my wheels, nice. New tyres will probably be 195 60 14 the ones on the wheels are 175 70 14 should be good. And I have been thinking abuot a stripe for the sides, it used to have the bump mould but I'm not a fan. Found this photo on the net and i reckon it's not a bad stripe as far a location and proportion goes, maybe not the exact colour for my car but it's got me thinking.... Quote
josh247 Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 looks nice man! Good job with the bumper repair  Quote
breto Posted March 9, 2014 Author Report Posted March 9, 2014 Detailed the interior for something to do. It is clean. Just one small dash crack lets it down. Quote
breto Posted March 16, 2014 Author Report Posted March 16, 2014 Today's additions. Rear window louver and centre console. Still trying to find a good bonnet, never see any for sale....patience... Quote
sammo[RL] Posted March 23, 2014 Report Posted March 23, 2014 Wow, a real base model 'L', no clock, radio, lighter, demister...Very cool Quote
breto Posted March 25, 2014 Author Report Posted March 25, 2014 I replaced the original steering wheel with a KE35 wheel, very nice! My 2" inch lowering blocks arrived today from Dellow Conversions, will fit them on Saturday and post some before and after pics. I hope these updates aren't boring people too much but I'm using this forum as a build diary for me to look back on also when its all done. Quote
breto Posted April 2, 2014 Author Report Posted April 2, 2014 2" lowering blocks all fitted up in the rear. Really happy with how the back sits now. Front is next but only going 30mm on the front, I like the look and handling of the front sitting a touch higher than the back. Quote
Clapped out Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Looking good, I'm liking the lowered look with those stockies, cheers! Quote
