Bushpig Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Hey, so i'm installing central locking in my ke55, i've got the front doors working perfectly but i've run into a brick wall when it comes to the rears. I've tried a couple of positions but the angles just won't work. the redline in the picture is where i've also tried mounting it. Any suggestions/ideas? thanks Quote

B.L.Z.BUB Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Shouldnt it be attached to the arm link towards the front of the door directly under the lock knob. Thats where I put mine in my KE70. Quote
parrot Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) Looks pretty clear to me B-Lugg? I think you are just going to have to try and get it pulling as straight as possible and make sure there is as little flex as possible. Easier said than done I know. towe001 Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 You're about on the money with where the solenoid is. You'll just need to play around with the rod. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/36792-towes-turtle/page__st__60#entry481143 Quote
Taz_Rx Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Its it hard to pull or push the lock by hand? You might need to lube the mechanism if there is too much load on the solenoid. Quote
Bushpig Posted February 26, 2014 Author Report Posted February 26, 2014 Thanks guys, i'll try and play around with the rod. Its it hard to pull or push the lock by hand? You might need to lube the mechanism if there is too much load on the solenoid. It's definitely harder to push or pull than the fronts but i thought that would just be because of the different design. what should i lube up the mechanism with ? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 I used a Crc type product once but the effect didn't last long. Grease would probably be a better option. Quote
