Darthleeweed Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Hey Rollaclubers, The WA forum has been dead for a while now. Its time to get the club going again me thinks. I am looking for interest in a gathering of either. 1) Weekend cruise down to margaret river. This would be down through the bendy roadsin waroona, staying the night in margaret river for some nice food and beverages with good people. Plus some pretty sweet photo locations. Organising a camp site for the club to stay. 2) Single day cruise and bbq. Looking at a single day cruise with a bbq for lunch in the middle. Looking at running the event in the second half of April depending on people preferances. This would be a good opportunity for everyone to meet who doesnt already know each other and some much needed catch ups. I have previously attended the Great ocean road cruise that the VIC guys try and run most years and that was a huge amount of fun! I was thinking if there is interest shown for option 1 we can also run a t-shirt and sticker print just for the weekend. Once I gauge some interest of what everyone wants to do I can get quotes for some campsites and printing companies. Quote
frasian Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 I'm in for the 2nd option as between work and uni i wont have time for a few days off to margaret river however nice that sounds Quote
van_kool1 Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 I'm the same, day cruise sounds better, work takes up too much time Quote
KE10WA Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 If the 10 is alive by then a day cruise with a BBQ sounds sweet. I'm even game for MR if there are enough numbers. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Would be keen on whatever but would need to fit a thermo to Mumbleweed to make a long run. 67Rolla looks like it is still a couple months off. Boot lid is back to bare metal again and getting sections cut and welded. Anyone got a spare KE10/11 boot lid I can run until then (in any condition)? Quote
Darthleeweed Posted February 28, 2014 Author Report Posted February 28, 2014 I am now flexible with dates so if i was to make it during school/uni holidays would everyoen be more keen for mg? I personally don't mind. Quote
Slow Joe Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Hi, the second option is probably the most favourable for most members. For me , either is a viable proposition so I am happy with a majority decision. About time WAROLLAS got out and about again Quote
Darthleeweed Posted March 7, 2014 Author Report Posted March 7, 2014 Ok guys, I will do a popper write up of what routes and locations I'm thinking of tomorrow but at this stage date wise I'm thinking April the 19th or 20th. 19th being the Saturday and the 20th being the Sunday. I'm flexible for either date. Ill post up tomorrow proposed routes and stops. :D Quote
ForzaAE92 Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Keen to come along for a rollaclub WA cruise :) Quote
Slow Joe Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) Sooo, anything organised yet.? The '55 has finally received her double lung transplant, new exhaust system , 205 R15 rears and 195 R15 fronts and is ready for a run, same as me! :dancetall:Still needs a cam, but thats only going to be very mild, probably a 264 Edited March 25, 2014 by Slow Joe Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 67Rolla is getting an exhaust fitted on Monday, then back to the panel shop for final touches and fitting the boot lid. After that it's just back to the trimmer to get the interior all finished. I really think I might be able to make this in 67Rolla if we go late April. Quote
chestikoph1 Posted April 19, 2014 Report Posted April 19, 2014 Is this still on? Any way I am keen for a run up to mundaring tomorrow, if any one else is let me know. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted April 19, 2014 Report Posted April 19, 2014 I'm still a couple weeks off finishing 67Rolla... not keen to do much in the Celica, needs a service and some TLC. Quote
