fatroll 20 Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 Hey peps I've been building my ke70 for almost a year now & like most builds has snowballed out of control. It started life as a pretty nice clean little ke70 that I brought to put all my old ae86 parts that I took of Tha car after a truck that was behind me didn't want to stop at a red light ( & no I didn't pull in front & slam my brakes on he just had a fat foot & hit Tha go & stop peddle at Tha same time) & give it some paint & sell it but soon I thought nah il keep it. It all started with a set of FAT 15x10 inch rims then I had to flair Tha he'll outta Tha guards to make them fit then I sold Tha ae86 suspension & got hold of some coil overs then sold Tha jdm 16v & got a silvertop then sold Tha sprinter diff & got a tarago diff then sold Tha silvertop for a blacktop & got a hilux diff sold Tha lil sc14 blower I had & got a monster h122 of a gt500 SUPER SNAKE & a w57 box & a set of big ass willwood brakes so now it seems I've got Tha drive line I really want (note to self think hard & plan what running gear you REALLY want before you start buying thing) . Pic & updates when I get a chance hope y'all like it Quote
fatroll 20 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Report Posted March 22, 2014 So this is how franKE started life out pretty standard & straight very little rust that i could see Quote
fatroll 20 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Report Posted March 22, 2014 Tha rims that started it all Quote
fatroll 20 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Report Posted March 22, 2014 Then it was time to start flairing tha hell outta tha guards to make them monster rims fit. i ended up flaring them about 50mm Quote
fatroll 20 Posted March 23, 2014 Author Report Posted March 23, 2014 then it was time to cut all tha rust out & i do mean all of it & there was & there was a HEAP more then i thought there was but its all gone now & it isnt coming back anytime soon 1 Quote
fatroll 20 Posted March 23, 2014 Author Report Posted March 23, 2014 then it came time to check tha doors out & tha driver side front & rear were great BUT & there is always a but tha passenger side doors were rusted out in tha bottom so yes i did think about going & finding new door but then these doors did look a whole lot better then what they were until i started to sand them back & some how i don't think someone will let me start to sand there doors back to bear metal before i brought them so i just fixed tha ones i had that way i knew there was no rust. I think they turned out pretty good to. Man i hate rust Quote
fatroll 20 Posted March 23, 2014 Author Report Posted March 23, 2014 now unfortunately i lost a heap of pic of how i flared tha rear quarters out but basically i got two more front guards flared them out cut tha quarter flares out & welded tha front flares in Quote
fatroll 20 Posted March 23, 2014 Author Report Posted March 23, 2014 then was time to make tha beast smooth so i welded tha front guard blinkers & quarter mould vents which makes tha car a lot cleaner i think 1 Quote
fatroll 20 Posted March 23, 2014 Author Report Posted March 23, 2014 then i cut my own vents into tha front guards to help tha air flow out from tha brake duct also they look shit HOT. 2pics of tha front guards finished with tha wheels on Quote
fatroll 20 Posted March 23, 2014 Author Report Posted March 23, 2014 high fill time & you should all know what a car in high fill looks like so i wont bore you with a heap of pics Quote
fatroll 20 Posted March 23, 2014 Author Report Posted March 23, 2014 then came time for tha fun stuff fit tha motor & inlet manifold & tha moment of truth will tha monster of a supercharger fit & let me tell you it does with mm of space around it so it looks like my vision will work out Quote
