azzrinz Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 :) hi, i'm posting here bcause my ke 10 have rare engine here in malaysia .it 4k-e, i have spare engine 4k-c that have been build up . can i change the engine 4k-c using the standard efi. tq Quote
Trent-KE30 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Yes I'm pretty sure you will be able to, just bolt everything up and change the ecu over. Quote
azzrinz Posted March 22, 2006 Author Report Posted March 22, 2006 tq, the asia section is not active so I'm thing better to ask ur guys because quite familiar with this engine type. other model here from ke 30-70 are using 4kc. my ke 10 still using standard drum pcd 110 and get better info to upgrade to disk in this forum . tq :) :lolcry: Quote
Trent-KE30 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 At the moment i can't think of a disc conversion for a KE10 apart from using KE30 discs on the front if they had drums, then you would have a stud pattern of 114.3. As for the back i'am not sure with the 10 series corolla, wait until another guru replies. Cheers Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 that's exactly what i did, it's a pain in the ass to adjust the valves though i used kp61 struts and widened the lower arms for the disc brakes Quote
azzrinz Posted April 20, 2006 Author Report Posted April 20, 2006 that's exactly what i did, it's a pain in the ass to adjust the valves thoughi used kp61 struts and widened the lower arms for the disc brakes is it really difficult to adjust?I'm not a mechanic,so perhap maybe just use the whole carby setup will be easy.i have seen ur car before nice mods, can we use ke 20 hub with the ke 70 disc brake to remain the stud pattern. for easy plug and play my friend told meto get the full ke 70 setup Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 it's tough because the manifold sits over the valve cover so by the time you pull that off, it has cooled down and you don't get a true setting Quote
coln72 Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 You can bolt KE30 discs to KE20 hubs and you can run KE70 discs on a KE30 so I can not see why you couldn't run KE70 discs on KE20 hubs (not that I have done it). Quote
azzrinz Posted April 20, 2006 Author Report Posted April 20, 2006 tq for ur info, bro. need guru for guidance. Quote
