Saas Boss Kits

The saas ke30-ke70 boss kits don't seem to fit, the taper is too tight on the oem shaft.

Its a pity as they are the better boss kit out there with 2 patterns and solid design,

but yeah the nut doesnt even go halfway on when done up tight. I have bought a few over

the last year hoping they would have fixed the issue but its the same problem.

 

Tested ascross multiple listed vehicles for the boss kit. It is possible to machine the taper out

but tricky and expensive if you can find someone capable of doing it.

 

Anyone had similar issues?

Just tried again and got hold of tech, they reckon its not a known problem but will measure specs again next year.

I had a SAAS boss kit in my KE70 and it seamed to fit fine. Don't Autotecnica make those solid-style boss kits as well?

Ah no only saas as far as I know but will chase it up...

From what I've seen, Autotecnica are nearly twice the price of SAAS. Made me reconsider a purchase.

Yes they may be dearer, but they actually fit.

I know I'd be happier to pay way more for something that worked.

Can you post a photo of said boss kit Styler?

If I can grab it in a lathe chuck I may be able to help. Shouldn't be too hard.
