Sznaps Posted November 6, 2013 Author Report Posted November 6, 2013 Ok exhaust side almost done. Puting it together for further fitment. Notice that turbo and manifold leave no space for oil filter which normally would be under turbo. It will be relocated later on. Quote
Sznaps Posted November 6, 2013 Author Report Posted November 6, 2013 Just final touch to exhaust manifold and lets get on with other stuff Quote
Sznaps Posted November 6, 2013 Author Report Posted November 6, 2013 and just for fun - first ever drawing of final setup ;-) I have kept it as souvenir Quote
Sznaps Posted November 7, 2013 Author Report Posted November 7, 2013 Time for throttle body. 4agze throttle body is just so restrictive so changing it for some better flowing one is always a good idea. Initially I was thinking about using smallport or even better bigport intake manifold but each of them would have to be modified in order to fit them with supercharger sitting more-less in original position. So if I had to mod the intake manifold then we just decided to create new one which would utilize even bigger 3S-GE throttle body. Here is comparision between 4agze throttle body (right) and 3-sge (left) and there we go with custom intake manifold - one one side it is attached to 3-sge throttle body, the other side(the one closer on the pic) is a upper mounting for sc12 supercharger Quote
Sznaps Posted November 7, 2013 Author Report Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) with this manifold supercharger has been pushed back a little bit so we had to create custom piping for it as well, On pic there is a junk supercharger that I had lying around which allowed to create piping directly on casing with no worry that something will fall in, brake, happen to it etc.. Sznaps Posted November 7, 2013 Author Report Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) Now to the oil relocation kit this is where normally oil filter would be. Now here will be turbo with exhaust manifold so there is no way to squeeze oil filter. This adapter redirects oil to filter and oil radiator and also to turbo. Forther another adapter with oil filter in the botton and another adapter with thermostat which opens to redirect oil to oil radiator. Here you can also see the silver pipe which is water line which runs actually behind the engine because of different water radiator and no space to run line as it normally goes (because of manifold and turbo) this is how it would look from bottom some shots from front with mounted turbo Lower reinforcement Some pieces put together. Sznaps Posted November 8, 2013 Author Report Posted November 8, 2013 ok time to fit some coolers oil water and air measuring how it will fit along with middle reinforcment: Quote
Sznaps Posted November 8, 2013 Author Report Posted November 8, 2013 now the beta stage of system was supposed to work without bypass valve so we connect supercharger directly to turbo Quote
Sznaps Posted November 8, 2013 Author Report Posted November 8, 2013 How things will look when bumper is on Quote

Sznaps Posted November 8, 2013 Author Report Posted November 8, 2013 we use relative small SFS blow off oil relocation kit has some space when flat fan is in place Quote
Sznaps Posted November 8, 2013 Author Report Posted November 8, 2013 (edited) almost there for stage beta.... Edited November 8, 2013 by Sznaps Quote
Sznaps Posted November 8, 2013 Author Report Posted November 8, 2013 For agze I was using 2.25 exhaust. We switched to 2,5 to keep EGT numbers as low as possible Quote
