GinGhee Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 I was replacing bushes and springs today in my ke70 and when i went to put the panhard back on it wouldn't go so I tpulled it out and noticed it was bent. Should I be concerned? Its not bad, with help I got it back on the car and the old rubber bushings didn't look deformed of anything Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Depends how bent. If its only minor it should be fine. All it does is keep your diff centered, is your car stock height? Quote
altezzaclub Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 ..and look carefully for other damage caused at the same time when someone drifted it into a kerb.... Quote
ke70dave Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 my mate slammed his ae86 into a gutter once, during a...er.....incident. Bent the wheel and the panhard rod. Swapped the wheel on the side of the road, and undid the panhard rod rod and bent it back using the gutter. Good as new! If the car is lowered, a bit of a bend may help to keep the diff centred though ;) Quote
GinGhee Posted October 28, 2013 Author Report Posted October 28, 2013 The car is lowered a bit. Now that you mention it, I think she has had a bit of run in with the gutter before I got it, there was a noise coming from the left hand side of the diff but it's stopped now that I had the bearing replaced Quote
