niland Posted October 21, 2013 Report Posted October 21, 2013 I recently purchased an Ke1x foglight fitted front bumper OEM my query is how where these wired? was it straight into the high beams? was it on a separate factory switch? Quote
sammo[RL] Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 If they are fog lights, it'll be thru the park light circuit….If they are driving lights, it'll be thru the high beam circuit….either way they will need a relay. They look pretty cool too! Quote
parrot Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 I had a good look through my assorted printed resources and there was nothing at all about the foglights. I think your best bet is to contact kzhd-tokyo and ask them if they can have a look at the car for you. Hopefully they still have it. I understand where you are coming from about keeping everything original, but I suspect you will struggle. I think with this sort of thing it was just however the dealer at the time elected to connect them. Quote

mattress Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they may well be factory. I think some of the brochures I have show them fitted. I'll have to have a look and see if I can dig them up. Quote
parrot Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) There is no question foglights were a factory option. But from looking very closely at the dealer brochures, and what I have personally seen subsequently, I don't believe these are the factory items. Rather they are period aftermarket which is just as awesome in my view. The question is how were they wired, and I would say the individual dealers either did it themselves, or got a local bloke to come and do it. Edited October 5, 2014 by parrot Quote
