Was talking to someone about new 2 stoke motors and smartcarbs made a mention.

Very interesting as some people have bike carbs on car motors, only thing is they are difficult

to tune but this new smartcarb should make it very easy... Could be the go for k motors and

in a range of sizes.

Anyone had any experience with them?

IMO Nothing new there, Just a hype-up, I can't see what makes them better? Same design has been around since the dawn of time. Just looks like a modern amal,

cheers!

The throat is skull-shaped rather than circular, and that apparently gives better atomisation.

Apart from that the mixture adjuster is the usual, SUs wind the jet down while they wind the needle up. You still need a range of needles to get mixture adjustment within the rev range.

Still, nice to have new carbs around without worn-out throttle plate axles and bushes. Four 36mm would do the job, $775 EACH for billets, or $375 each for cast 38mm.

I've never seen a throttle plate on a 2t carb before. The slide is operated directly by the cable.

Only thing that will usually wear is the float needle and seat.
