Boosted Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 (edited) :offtopic: How are you talking to the E6X ? Do you have an old computer with XP still loaded ? I keep thinking about older Haltech's, but the info I've seen says they all work thru a DOS interface ? Edited September 17, 2013 by Boosted Quote

gt500biatch Posted September 17, 2013 Author Report Posted September 17, 2013 I'm in brissy :) southside (calamvale) 4116. how much for the base map ? :) Quote
gt500biatch Posted September 17, 2013 Author Report Posted September 17, 2013 from haltech website regarding e6x ecu Please note: This Haltech program is designed to work with early DOS Operating Systems. In some cases it may work with Win95 or Win98 but if you still have problems communicating with the ECU you will need to do the following. Reboot the PC, just as you see text appear on the screen press the F8 key. If caught in time you will see on the screen a bunch of prompts. Select “Startup in MSDOS mode”, once done you can run the Software. Quote
gt500biatch Posted September 17, 2013 Author Report Posted September 17, 2013 i have not started to talk to the ecu yet. reason for base map is I'm getting her wired up this week and if i get a base map for the silvertop 4age, it will save the tuner much time... and me some moneys :) Quote
gt500biatch Posted September 17, 2013 Author Report Posted September 17, 2013 The HALTECH E6X is easily programmed with an IBM compatible laptop" From the pdf regarding the ecu Quote
