afghan Posted August 4, 2013 Report Posted August 4, 2013 Hi I'm a new member & am stumbling through all this as never been on a forum or blog whatever before Have a KE 30 4 door. Ex mother inlaws. 92,000 klms genuine Clutch is slipping badly & may need another flywheel unless it will machine ok Rubbers & door tracks where window goes up in door frame are shoddy Any ideas where can get?? Also want a couple of original manuals as the heater is working but I think one cable may have slipped or broken I don't want to wreck the interior to start pulling things apart without knowing where all tj\he catches are I am in Melbourne Would also like to join the corolla club there as this is normally garaged & only driven once a month Any suggestions would be greatfull Regards john Quote
Mechanical Sympathy Posted August 4, 2013 Report Posted August 4, 2013 (edited) Welcome. I'm new too. Show us some photos of your low km gem! http://www.rarespares.net.au/rarespares/ProductPage.aspx?product=COR16 Rare Spares have the door rubber items you're looking for. http://bit.ly/149S95K http://bit.ly/14Uozx9 Manuals can be found on eBay fairly cheaply. The earlier manual is relevant to the KE30 but the later one has the information on removing the heater that you desire. Edited August 4, 2013 by Mechanical Sympathy Quote
Taz_Rx Posted August 4, 2013 Report Posted August 4, 2013 The rubber stuff the window slides is called "flocking". If you search on that you should be able to find an old thread of mine, I got some from rare spares I from memory noted what car out was from as they didn't have stuff specifically for a corolla. As for the heater controls, I doubt they would snap. Stock your head under the dash and follow the cables, you might find one has come unclipped. What exactly makes you think one isn't working anyway? Quote
me n d boy Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 the rubber stuff that goes around the window is called Bailey channel and I just got it from rare spares and there is the right part number for a ke30 ,for the four doors it cost just under a $100, but I have heard that you can get it from Clark rubber as well and its a bit cheaper ,it will fit and do the job well but not a corolla true fitment Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Bailey channel rubber can be bought by the meter at Clarke Rubber pretty cheap. 45 it in the corners with some good rubber glue and you're away laughing. Quote
