Pierced69 Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 Hi all, Wondering if anyone in Perth has a handbook/manual I can scan or have a look at. After the specification page as to weight etc Cheers John Quote
Pierced69 Posted July 22, 2013 Author Report Posted July 22, 2013 Thanks very much for that GJM85, is there a page that also mentions the tare or GVM weights for each :) Quote
GJM85 Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Corolla_(E20) Unfortunately it doesn't say, but this wiki says the e20 series curb weight was between 720kg and 910kg. Likely basic 2 door models being the lesser, with wagons and such being the greater. Quote
Pierced69 Posted July 22, 2013 Author Report Posted July 22, 2013 Bugger, yeah have been to that site. I was hoping to get an original weight for the sedan or coupe, wouldn't think would be so hard to find out a DOT so helpful. All this is to see if worth submitting paperwork for a 2.4 in KE25. I suppose put paperwork in and see what happens   Quote
GJM85 Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 Take your car to the local dump and get them to weigh it on the bridge. Quote

Pierced69 Posted July 23, 2013 Author Report Posted July 23, 2013 Thanks very much for them Parrot swear put a post up for thanking for other figures but :notimp: dunno where it went, but thanks again might help if I need to argue the point so can go the 2.4L Quote
parrot Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Good luck with it. Sounds like you are building a Toyota version of a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus, although that was a 2.2litre Quote
GJM85 Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 I reckon the 1000kg weight specs are with a full car. Quote
parrot Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Yes, GVW refers to the car complete with all fluids, passengers, load etc. Meant to be the maximum capacity for the vehicle. Quote
