Jono Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 i got a whole set of new rubbers for my 1971 ke20, problem is with the front rear leaf bushes, there seems to be a different leaf bracket on the early ke20's which is a bit smaller than the later ke20's. probably about 50mm diameter on the later ones and maybe 30-40mm on the earlier ones. anyone know what year they changed over? Redwarf Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Good question to which I don't know the real answer to. However, after some thought you can probably break it down into two options. The first is when the KE20 update came out, which I think was 73, or the fact that there were Aussie built 20's and jap built 20's. I like the first theory actually. I've always thought of them as early and late springs. Anyone else?? Quote
Jono Posted March 8, 2006 Author Report Posted March 8, 2006 yeah i figured it was changed with the "facelift" model. anyone know the month of 1973 when they changed? Also does anyone know when the emission laws came in. I believe my car is Australian built - at least it has the "This vehicle was manufactured by Australian Motor Industries LTD" plate. My car is 10/1971 and only has 9 ADRs: 2: Side door latches and hinges 3: Seats and Seat Anchorages 4: Seatbelts 5A: 7: Hydraulic brake hoses 8: Safety glass 10A: 15: Window Demister (ceased to be in effect, 2005) 20: Can't find any info on ADR's 5A, 10A or 20 The early and late ke20's have a few differences: i can't put late headlights into my early car using the same fixing holes etc. Quote
irokin Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 5A is seat belt anchorage points 10A is steering columns 20 is saftey rims. Quote
