hey guys, I'm new to rolla club and was just wondering about the leaf springs that are in the ke70 wagons, can you drift on them? or do i have to do a rear end conversion and put coil springs in the wagon. thanks

No you can't drift on those leaf springs, because those leaf springs are connected to a car that makes 30hp.

But seriously, you can get leaf spring reset to be lower and you can add extra leaf springs to stiffen up the suspension. It's not an ideal setup but neither is the sedan version's rear suspension. If you can make enough power to break traction, it will drift.

If i can drift a filthy old liteace van with a 1c diesel then you can drift a stock ke70 no dramas. Just don't de-spring it as the ride is NASTY!

You can set up the rear end to slide, just like any car. Doesnt matter what set up it has you can modify it.

If you're thinking of how awesome this car did skids....

it was a coil sprung *E7* sedan and they welded a wagon rear end on.

You're gonna have to decide how far you want to take it. The sedan is easier.

The wagon will need a totally different kind of set up. stiffened leaf springs, different shocks , sway bar options.

If you want to do a crazy build with heaps of power it will take some noggin scratching. if you want to drift hack it with Illest stickers just put in a hydro handbrake.
