ke20rota Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 Hey guys i have a 5k for my ke20 and I'm just wondering what u guys think would be the best option for it. my mates running an import ke70 box in his 20 so i believe a k50 is probably my best bet cause its still cable and not hydraulic like a t50 but t50 seems to be a stronger box. i have a 5k flywheel and will run a HD clutch and.the motor will.be producing roughly 100kw so yea? any help.would.be great :) Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 You can buy K-T bellhousings so you can run the T series box and it'll retain the cable setup. Quote
ke20rota Posted July 6, 2013 Author Report Posted July 6, 2013 yea that makes sence man cheers :) Quote

You need to give the bellhousing and pressure plate some grinder love(ive done it before but I wouldn't recommend it) I've never broken a k50, even with a 100rwkw supercharged 5k that made stupid amounts of torque. It's all relative to how they are treated. Quote
ke20rota Posted July 6, 2013 Author Report Posted July 6, 2013 wouldnt.all the clutches be the same?? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 With a 5k (200mm) flywheel you would have to use a ae71 kit and the pressure plate fouls on the bh of a cable k-t. Use a 3k or 4k 180mm flywheel and clutch kit and it will fit. Quote
ke20rota Posted July 7, 2013 Author Report Posted July 7, 2013 thanks heaps taz much appreciated :) Quote
benhachi Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 I used a ke70 flywheel and pressure plate in my early K50- 3K Quote
