Ke70 matt Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 G'day mate. I hope I'm doing this in the right place, I've got a 4age engine that I'm rebuilding and I've got some ARP high compression pistons that are 12:1 ratio and I'm looking at a set of quad-throttle bodies some upgraded cams and what-not and I'm just wondering if the standard ecu would be able to handle all this of if I should scrap it and upgrade? cheers. B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 Upgrade. If you want to get the best out of your mods, upgrade. Also, what 4AGE, I'm guessing a big or smallport? You'll need to run aftermarket engine management with quad throttles no matter what. Quote
Ke70 matt Posted July 4, 2013 Author Report Posted July 4, 2013 aww yea. fair enough. big port. is there any management system that you would recomend? or should I shop around? cheers for your help, much appreaciated Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 Look around and see what you can get the best deal on. Also stick to "big name" ecu's as you won't have issues finding someone to tune it. Quote
ke70dave Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 Littleredspirit might chime in. He has had extensive experience tuning his silvertop 20V, which is pretty silmiar to what yours will become once you put the quads onto the bigport. Quote
