B.L.Z.BUB Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 Is it throwing any codes when you run a diagnostic check? Quote
rian Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 (edited) vacuum leak. If you haven't already blocked off the idle-up system on the throttle body then scroll through this to find out how: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/56218-rians-ke70/page__st__360__p__644229 If you have already blocked off the idle-up system then you should pull your inlet manifold off and check your gaskets. I forgot to ask this on your thread but how come you removed your cold start thingo? Although by the looks of that it literally just lets more air in Smallports just have an extra injector for cold starts. Quote
rian Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 (edited) ^The idle-up/cold start thing is operated by the coolant temp and it was too much effort to run the coolant lines to the throttle body. The metal coolant lines need to be shortened when you put the 4A in RWD format, and when you shorten them you lose the pipes that take coolant to the throttle body. Doesn't matter, still starts on cold morning so it's all good. Edited June 29, 2013 by rian Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 Yeah, smallports have a way different system. Its not ever "cold" in Australia as far as cars are concerned. Quote

Smallports have the same style wax-pellet cold-idle valve and Cold Start Injector setup as the bigports do (at least in FWD-land) 1 Quote

B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 In terms of needing the cold start injector. I doubt youd even need it in Tassie. Quote
