me n d boy Posted June 22, 2013 Report Posted June 22, 2013 I was given some new saas seats for the rolla and was just wondering if any one has bought or made some mounting runner to fit the seat to the ke55 mounting points, and if so where did you get them? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted June 23, 2013 Report Posted June 23, 2013 I am 99% sure that they will bolt on to the standard rails without issue. Quote
me n d boy Posted June 23, 2013 Author Report Posted June 23, 2013 the saas seats mounting points are shorter, both in width and lenght, will have to ring saas as they are in wethrill park and not that far from work Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted June 23, 2013 Report Posted June 23, 2013 I'm thinking of Autotecnica, I thought the SAAS used the same spacing. Obviously not :( Lucky I didnt get SAAS ones :) Quote
me n d boy Posted June 23, 2013 Author Report Posted June 23, 2013 lucky ,but I think I have it sorted :hmm: ,if it works will post photos , if not will look at autotecnica Quote
corollaart Posted June 23, 2013 Report Posted June 23, 2013 Ive yet to see any after market seats that bolt in,it normally needs some mod to get them to fit. Having said that ive seen some deadly fitments in bits of shitty tin with tek screws just bloody nightmares. Make sure its done right. rob Quote
crunk81us Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 Mine were mounted using 8mm flat bar between the rear 2 original mounts. And a 5mm steel plate with a nut under the 2 front mounts. Bolted to the rails that came with the same seats as urs. Quote
me n d boy Posted July 10, 2013 Author Report Posted July 10, 2013 OK, I've made some mounts that work really well, using the corolla rails and basically split them in half, bolting the top half of the rail to the seat and then to the plate and then welding the plate to the lower part of the runner Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 What are the meassurements for the width and length of the mounts? Are you getting seats engineered? Keen to fit seats soon to my KE10 and currently doing my reserch :) Cameron Quote
me n d boy Posted July 11, 2013 Author Report Posted July 11, 2013 hi cameron seat mount points where 345mm wide approx 375mm long approx yes will have an engineer have a look at mounts , but they are so solid they will be staying in either way. seats are from super cheap made by saas, look good and are really comfy Quote
CREEDY Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 couple of bits of thick flat bar usually does the trick. cut off or unbolt original rails, drill holes in flat bar and bolt to rails, line up mounts on seat, drill holes in flat bar and mount seat. And don't forget to use nylock nuts when you bolt it all in :) Quote
