Tough_little_ke20 Posted October 1, 2013 Author Report Posted October 1, 2013 Got a bit of seem welding done tonight, just got to do the rear rails and two floor panels, then finish the engine bay Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted October 6, 2013 Author Report Posted October 6, 2013 Deadener is out, I love dry ice, 3.9kgs of deadener, not much but it all adds up Quote
TRAV-KE55 Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 Looking good Justin, keep up the good corolla work and do SDCC proud. If you need some corolla bits give me a call, I'm just in Kialla. Â Trav Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted October 27, 2013 Author Report Posted October 27, 2013 Cheers mate  I've been flat out the last few weekends with track maintainance, khanacross, winton 6 hour and just general stuff that takes up all your time. My brother did some more welding on the bay for me last weekend and hopefully finishing it this coming weekend, gonna make up some mounting brackets for the IRS at work this week then try and get them welded in this weekend or next then box out the floor, notch and brace the chassis, fit the diff mount and fit up some coil overs. Hopefully nothing gets in the way of my plans Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted November 1, 2013 Author Report Posted November 1, 2013 Made the front mounts for the rear end this week, now that the long weekend is here I'll get stuck into fitting it up Quote
[email protected] Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Great job gona be fast! Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Report Posted November 3, 2013 I hope so, got a few people in the club with big egos that need to be beaten by a little old corolla Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Report Posted November 3, 2013 Pretty happy with today's progress cut off the spring hangers, chopped some holes in the floor, notched the chassis and tacked in the mounts, tomorrow I will hopefully get it welded in properly and notch the chassis for the control arm and cut out the wheel well and work out where the diff mounts need to be and I will make the mounts on Wednesday when I get back to work Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted November 10, 2013 Author Report Posted November 10, 2013 Finally I'm back in :) the sight has been mucking up on me since monday haven't be able to post anything, so on Monday I cut some more big holes and chopped up the chassis to fit the control arms and everything seems to be right and I'm now working on the rear diff support. Should get that done some time this week, then ill tidy it all up and make some strut towers then fill in all the big gaping holes Quote
Silverrr87 Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 This is looking good mate. I went and spoke to a fabricator I know about doing this for my coupe.. Hah aahhh I don't think il be going that path. Il just look on at yours with envy 1 Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Report Posted November 11, 2013 Haha it's not as much work as it seams, it's easier than a 4 link in my opinion, but you really need the car on a rotisery, makes it so much easier Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted December 7, 2013 Author Report Posted December 7, 2013 Safe to say I've been extremely lazy with the build so I thought I better do some work on it today, so the rear end is now mounted up properly, with the suspension at the same height as my brothers ke55 there is -1.3° camber on both sides so I'm very happy with that, now I need to clean up at the bits of chassis I chopped out then rebuild the chassis but on the inside of the car, fill in all the holes and make up some strut towers Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted December 15, 2013 Author Report Posted December 15, 2013 Time to get sheeting Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Posted December 24, 2013 Merry Christmas everyone, hope your rollas spoil you Quote
