Dutchrolla Posted May 18, 2013 Report Posted May 18, 2013 Hi all, I have already uploaded some pics of my KE70 to the gallery but i will make a tread here from A to Z.. Some specifications : Corolla KE70 DX Coupé Year : 1982 Motor : 1300cc (4K), 4-speed manual This is how i found her...in a barn with a layer of dust. Quote
Dutchrolla Posted May 18, 2013 Author Report Posted May 18, 2013 Pulled her out of the barn..Then we saw its a 2-tone paint!! Quote
Dutchrolla Posted May 18, 2013 Author Report Posted May 18, 2013 After a wash we dropped here at the local Toyota dealer for the yearly needed Vehicle Check. She needed only new battery and passed the check without any remark. Quote
Dutchrolla Posted May 18, 2013 Author Report Posted May 18, 2013 Time for deeper inspection : After almost 30 years...completely rustfree!! Everywhere you look is a layer of black, brown or sticky rust-prevention. It also smells, and It even drips down a little sometimes...just because after a drive it became liquid again.. Engine bay is also brown of the ML coat. Even the hose clamps have still their original yellow/gold shiny color. Quote
Dutchrolla Posted May 18, 2013 Author Report Posted May 18, 2013 Polished the outside.. all we found of damage was 1 tiny scratch of 3mm. Quote
Dutchrolla Posted May 18, 2013 Author Report Posted May 18, 2013 (edited) Interior : Front seats had 2 covers... rear seat was covered by a blanket. Because of that were the original blue seats in overrated condition. Gear knob is a genuine Toyota accessoiry. The dash have no cracks or damage. On top is a external rev counter of VDO Edited May 18, 2013 by Dutchrolla Quote

LittleRedSpirit Posted May 18, 2013 Report Posted May 18, 2013 Thats wonderful. You have the most sought after and rare body style. I know of 3 of these cars in Australia, and all are private imports as Toyota tended to send us econo-class cars, not sports models. Quote
nerfbat Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 omg mate..! i have never seen one..! love it..! Quote
Marjanne Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 Dat is een mooi wagentje!! Where in Holland did you find your car? Cheers Quote

This KE style is like the TE71 GT Levin.. Because of rust just a few KE´s are left here and maybe 2 or 3 are Coupe model. That time Holland got them all, TE71, AE86 and AE92 sporty models.. but after that only economic models. So the great 4AGE-20v engine is never sold here. Toyota sells the FT86 now but who want to buy it? The fuelprice is about 2.30 AU Dollar each liter at the moment here. Dat is een mooi wagentje!! Where in Holland did you find your car? Cheers Dank je wel (thanks!) Car comes from Veluwe area. Edited May 19, 2013 by Dutchrolla Quote
