Ashh Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 (edited) Hey there, I've got a TA22 that I'm upgrading the brakes on (4 pot hilux calipers and XT struts!). To make these work I've also got a mitsubishi starion mastercylinder. Unfortunately the master cylinders reservoir is in the way of the vacuum hose. anyone have any smart ideas? is it possible to buy a valve with an outlet on a 90 degree bend? Cheers Ash Oh and on a possibly unrelated note, if I push my brake booster rod thing to the side (hardly any force) I can hear a sucking sound, which makes me think that the seal is pretty trashed? altezzaclub Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 Just take a walk around the wreckers and see, or ask a brake/clutch place for a right-angle one. I've never really taken any notice, but I think there are 90deg ones around. If not, can you set up a remote reservoir? You'll only find out how good the seal is when you hook it up. It doesn't move sideways in normal use. Quote
Dan_ke36 Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 The last model Camry master cylinder is what you need for that upgrade, 2002 to 2005 , gives good pressure to front and rear and a good pedel feel Quote
johnnyblz Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 (edited) Hey man, I'm using a mitsi pajero master on my ke70 with dinalites and its awesome.15/16ths bore. easy to bolt up to with standard lines too. Edited May 15, 2013 by johnnyblz Quote
Ke55Revive Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 What model and year mitsubishi are you using? looks very tidy! Quote
cuzzo Posted May 16, 2013 Report Posted May 16, 2013 You could try a ke30 booster. They have a fixed right angled vaccum pipe, should be same bolt pattern on both firewall and master cylinder. If not, you could try other types of mitsubishi master reserviors Quote
ke70dave Posted May 16, 2013 Report Posted May 16, 2013 I woudlnt go as far as swapping out the booster just to change the vacuum port. Theres gotta be an easy 90deg thing you can buy as altezzaclub suggets. Or even a different brake fluid resevoir that allows a bit more room. Quote
johnnyblz Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 its a master from a 94 mitsubishi pajero. Quote
Ke55Revive Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 Thanks mate, I was looking at the one in my brothers 82 pajero wondering why it didn't seem the same. Quote
RainWarriorDregs Posted May 18, 2013 Report Posted May 18, 2013 is that an aftermarket brake bias valve? Quote
