altezzaclub Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 awww... sounded real interesting fom the title! Mind you, broken wrists come from navigating, not the other way round! Ya gotta learn to hug yourself as it rolls, not put a hand up on the roof! Quote
Boosted Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 Watching someone like Nicky Grist is interesting, been in so many crashes he can see them coming, throw the notes, cross the arms and grab the belts. Then give driver the evil eyes when it's finally stopped bouncing ;) Quote
Redwarf Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 Nav's also appreciate a bit of advanced warning before you go in, too. Last one I had I gave the Nav 120m of warning! Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 Especially since modern WRC cars have the navigator positioned so low that they can't actually see out the window (and therefore can't visually anticipate accidents, they have to "feel" them) Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 (edited) I love how the nav gets out to check his notes http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=5c4_1339338704 Edited May 13, 2013 by B.L.Z.BUB Quote
Boosted Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 At work, so can't see the vid, but if it's of the car crashing into the house, the nav is getting out to display the OK sign. Usually there's a copy printed at the back of the roadbook. Needs to display the OK sign to the next three cars, otherwise they'll stop to render medical assistance and will be pretty pi$$ed if they didn't need to stop. Quote
