rke_011 Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 I know the typical answer.. yes it can be done.. But I don't want to change shifter position in my second owner ke10. How hard is it to change the shifter extension on a different box? and what would be the easiest or strongest upgrade? if there is any difference? Can someone with little knowledge do it? or is it a job for a professional? Couldnt find the answer anywhere? i have seen it before but couldnt find it now.. Gearbox is getting harder to change gears, and i have a ke20 box here so just curious. Cheers Quote
CorollaNut68 Posted May 6, 2013 Report Posted May 6, 2013 (edited) Off the top of my head..and I'm not sure, I think you can swap tailpieces from the 10 to the 20 and use the original shifter position. Doesn't the 20 look identical except the shifter is further back? Unless there is some difference in the forks, you should be able to just unbolt and slide off one and replace it with the other. rke_011 Posted May 6, 2013 Author Report Posted May 6, 2013 cool, if this is the case I just got to hope the ke20 box is better than the current ke10 box Quote
mattress Posted May 6, 2013 Report Posted May 6, 2013 I have an original KE10 box here I won't be using. Unknown condition and I may be too far away to make it worthwhile trying... Quote
rke_011 Posted May 21, 2013 Author Report Posted May 21, 2013 Can a ke10 extension housing go on a k50? I have no idea how these things work, so probably not.... Quote
