Not sure if this is the right section or not but let me know (I'm fairly new)

Looking into buying an AMR500 Supercharger and its going to be put on a stock 4k. Not sure if everything in the motor is going to be able to handle it or if the diff and gearbox will be alright. It's obvious that if you don't treat it right it will give but normal driving how would the drive line and engine be ?

Bs.

I've run pretty much stock bottom ends with several turbo setups and never blown anything but a head gasket. It all comes down to having an adequate tune, particularly timing.

I even ran up to a consistent 15 psi on the stock compression ratio and over 20 psi with the lowered c/r setup.

K's are strong as shit, that's why I love them!

On the other hand I have broken a gearbox, but that was more to blame on the welded diff at the time. I now have the k-t50 and still a stock 55 diff (unwelded) and haven't had a single driveline issue in over 4 years running a daily 18 psi!

With what you can get out of an AMR500 you should be fine as long as your fuel mixtures are good and if you treat the car well it should last for a while.

This also depends on the condition of the engine that is being supercharged. If it has high k's and a manual the bearings might be a bit worn and could

go as a result of the added stress. There are plenty of people that run stock cr 4ks' with boost and have had them running for a long period of time.

The AMR500 would be at it's upper limit providing around ~14psi (without doing any calcs) so with a standard pulley setup you would get around 9 psi.
