TeQordeath Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) So I need some help with damage control, I'm in the Process of putting an MSD 6a unit in my te27 Corolla 2tc engine, My buddy is not a vintage toyota mechanic , we were tracing wires up near the ignition switch, put everything back together and tryed to fire the car nothing, no lights on the gauge cluster or power to the stereo, But I have power to lights, hazards, dash lights. The battery is fully charged, Checked the starter by booting it manually to the battery ,its fine. With the Key in the on position I get nothing at all. Any Ideas? Btw , the MSD unit Is not installed , we were just tracing wires for reference. Edited April 9, 2013 by TeQordeath Quote
GJM85 Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 Bad earth possibly. Check the block to negative terminal strap. Quote
altezzaclub Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 You might have accidentally shorted something and popped a fuse, or a fusible link if the TE27 uses them. Have you got a wiring diagram? Quote
