The worst thing is you'll take it to Honda and it'll be something stupid like the front tyre didnt have enough tyre shine.

I'm so intrigued now if I didnt just have a baby I'd be out there with a multimeter

i have a larger size fuel line on her, which means the fuel pressure would have to be lower than whats required for the fuel injection?

is that all thats wrong with my girl after effing around with everything else for the last 2 weeks?

Increasing the size of the fuel line won't decrease the pressure, it just increases the force from the fluid.

i.e Pressure = Force / Area, but pressure is constant (due to fuel pressure regulator on EFI system)

-> Force = Pressure * Area

-> An increase in Area means an increase in Force

This isn't your problem, but I hope you can find out what is and get this thing back on the road.

cool mate. will look into them..!

don't have any links?

now, a mate has gotten a Honda Scoopy(the Oz version of the Metropolitan), like this one

and really would prefer a ruckus

he said i can take it free, so i can do what i was thinking of doing a while back, wanting the first Metruck in Oz..!

as most parts are interchangeable

like these

i can pick all the cherry parts from both scoots to do it, including engine, steering, my stretch kit, etc and get mine going first, and he will take the leftovers and build a ruckus slowly

MMMMM decisions....

thats an interesting question mate

short answer, yes, as far as the guys at totalruckus.com go.

they say the front fairing allows for better aerodynaimcs when leaning down low or 'tucking in'

they suggest the 'gearing' in the mets allow for more customization, smaller drive belt, sharper ramps in the CVT, so in effect you may be able to get faster acceleration, and higher top end, due to the smaller belt can travel further up the 'curve' and the different shape ramp allows for faster acceleration, then you can fine tune it to suit the person with various roller weights, etc(over my head, literally regurgitating their stuff here)

but then again, all that can be interchanged to the ruckus engine anyway.

they are both the 'GET' type honda engine

having said that, i have nfi what parts i would run from which scooter yet, til if/when i get to look at his

his 'metro' is the older model, '02 and seems a simpler design regarding the engine, etc, and has done a lot more kms than mine I'm assuming?

TBH, i am thinking i could simply use his engine/drivetrain with the Metro front, with my Ruckus rear, and bypass whatever is wrong with my scoot as it sits now

also scoring a one of a kinds scoot(as far as i know) in Oz..!

we went and picked up the scoopy this arvo.

pretty much like this one, but rougher

in fact, it gets no rougher

got home late tonite

got both of them in the shed, will take pics tomorrow

havent made a decision yet as i can't afford to spend cash on anything right now.

so if he says i can do it free, and he makes something up with the leftovers(pretty much a complete ruckus tho), i might

will post more tomorrow

thanks for your time

I saw a Scoopy and a Zoomer near each other in the parking lot at uni, Zoomer is 10x better looking in my opinion.

i agree mate..!

were they standard?

finished work, so i will take some pics and look at what my mate has left me in the shed

(Rob and Trev, it was the 'scary man' who owns the scoopy, a dude owed him cash, so he signed the scooter rego over to cover the debt, lol)

his plan is maybe to fund a custom scooter shop in town now, depending on how well these 2 come out.

mine will be a budget job, he has access to all sorts of sht and will prob be more crazy than mine

will get back to you guys later

thanks for your time
