Met front with a Ruck rear = Metruck

or the OZ version,

Scoopy front with a Zoomer rear

shall we call it a Scoomer or a Zoopy?

lol

comparison pic of the Met(Right) vs Ruck(Left swingarm

swapping them gives you a nice stretch(Ruck into a Met) or shorter wheelbase(Met into a Ruck), depending on which way you go

the weights in the variator seem fine

all bolted together.

havent wired up the tail light yet

the blue bag holds the battery, as the battery and ecu are usually in the big box under the seat on a std Met/Scoopy

can't afford to buy anything for a while, but i need paint for her, wire the tail light, and fit the big gun exhaust

wont be fitting the fatty or extra stretch kit til i test it out for a week or so, iron out the bugs, etc

hi mate, i assume i can as i have kept the frame part with all the Zoomer 'VIN' etc.

once this girl is running right and i am reasonably happy with her, i will start on the Ruckus/Zoomer build

Thanks to Trev(who gave me a huge workbench) and rob who helped bring her over, i now have plenty of space in my shed to 'Bring Da Ruckus..!

tail light wired up, and took her for a short ride around the block to test her out

seems ok, but i will need to play with the carby i reckon, rejetting, etc, after removing the big and restrictive air box, and putting the 'Big gun' exhaust on her

playing with jets today.. got her running rather nicely

pulls hard up to 60 now, but then sits on the rev limiter at around 70(speedo ends at 60, guessing 70 due to the needle place past the mark), but at least its perfect for town riding

if i get her pulling hard and smooth right through to 65ish, i will then play with the variator/ weights/ ramps and push it a bit

i am noticing a slight hesitation around 35-45 kms, but i found an easy way to space the needle up a bit, enrichening the mixture throughout the rev range

tomorrow, ima try it, and play with the jets more

more pics too

then to paint it all either OD green, or flat back when i can afford it

and THEN.... back onto the Ruckus/Zoomer

thanks for your time

pulled the carby down, put an M25 washer under the needle to increase fuel flow, also put in a bigger jet from the other carb, it now pulls hard up to 60 kms

i didnt take pics of the carb trick, but i found some from the guide i used

ruck_needle_14.jpg

before

ruck_needle_16.jpg

washer placed on needle

and after

ruck_needle_17.jpg

it essentially enriches the mix thrughout the throttle range

will check the plug after a day or so riding and adjust to suit

tomorrow the Big Gun exhaust gets fitted properly, which may require a retune of the carb

but I can't wait..!

then paint, and i'll be sorta happy

thanks for your time

couldnt afford paint, so i decided to do it on the cheap with the left over SCA Matt Black paint cans i had, also thanks to Rob for giving me one, doubling my stockpile..lol

401970_141382666046305_587659009_n.jpg

these, plus the leg guard panel, are the pieces that got the Wet & Dry treatment

198999_141382672712971_1031420190_n.jpg

after the first 2 coats

395623_141382746046297_1683737047_n.jpg

decided i needed to buy more paint after using up the 2 cans i had

sold some of my old games to my mate's cash shop and bought 4 more tins of paint for 10 bucks

so, the paint job cost at most 15 bucks... and I'm sure it will show when i bolt her all together tomorrow arvo

947352_141382736046298_1346290964_n.jpg

last thing i did was fit a red T10 LED to the cluster, another leftover from the black KE 36 panno

will post more pics tonce i get her back together
